Lenzing Ecovero brand fibers are made from the renewable raw material wood from certified and controlled sources. The fabric is completely biodegradable. Lenzing states that a T-shirt made from Ecovero fibers degrades in three months. By comparison, a T-shirt made from polyester takes 200 years. Thanks to recycling technology, the production process, which has been awarded the EU Ecolabel, reduces water consumption and emissions by 50%.
